MEMS‑based motion sensors are widely used in many industries today. Through calibration and characterization, MEMS‑based sensors can almost achieve accuracy levels comparable to those of conventional, high‑cost motion sensors. This is why these sensors are already employed in numerous applications, such as automotive, consumer electronics, drones etc.

These sensors are often only a few millimeters in size, and even complete sensor packages typically measure only a few centimeters. These compact sensors place entirely different demands on a motion simulator. That is why Drico developed the "Compact Motion Simulator Series.

Size isn't everything

Conventional motion simulator models were developed for large motion sensors (such as fiber‑optic and ring‑laser gyroscopes) and are therefore correspondingly large and expensive.

Unlike conventional systems, the compact motion simulator series is purpose-built for compact sensors, delivering high-performance motion simulation in a desktop-sized platform.
